I am a stay at home mother of four.  After four years of serving as a board trustee, I remain committed to pursuing decisions in the best interests of the families and students of our division.
Three of my children attend Ecole St. Thomas and my youngest just turned one.
I believe the family is the most important unit of community and our Catholic schools are an extension of the family.  Families have a sense of belonging and security when they walk through our school doors.  Both parents and students feel wanted and accepted.
Children spend a large portion of their day at school, in both academic and extra-curricular activities.  It makes sense that the time at school supports the family and the family supports the school.  Family values are enhanced by the presence of the Church in our Catholic schools.
Student participation in mass and religious teaching build upon the foundation of family unity.
Success in our division comes from encouraging all students to grow through faith, academics, athletics and the arts.
Collaboration between the school and parents is important because parents know their children better than anyone. Working together will ensure the best opportunity for success for each student.
